**Settlement companies who wish final sewer amounts should send an email to Donna Donald at ddonald@newberrytwp.com. Final sewer amounts must be provided in a written format. Sewer Municipal Lien letters cost $25.00 and have to be paid in advance. Emails are provided free of charge.

Newberry Township residents currently on public sewer are encouraged to contact their homeowner’s insurance agent to be sure that they are covered in the unlikely event of a sewer line backup. This insurance is the homeowner’s responsibility and usually is not covered unless specifically requested.
Penn Waste is the township's trash vendor
Penn Waste can be contacted at 717-767-4456 Option 3 should you have any questions.
On days where the temperature is expected to be at 90 degrees or higher, Penn Waste may begin their pickup as early as 5 am in order to make sure their crews complete routes fully, with minimal exposure to extreme heat.
This is part of Penn Waste Summer Safety Campaign to ensure their staff do not experience extreme heat and dehydration.
Please remember to have your trash and recycling out early enough during this period.

Electronic devices such as desktop computers, laptops, monitors, keyboards, a mouse, printers, speakers, televisions, and e-readers that browse the internet must be recycled by law. They may be recycled at a York County Recycling Collection site such as Fairview Township, 285 Spanglers Mill Rd, New Cumberland, PA (717) 901-5261, or York County Solid Waste Authority, 2651 Black Bridge Road, York (717) 845-1066. Please call the site for their drop-off times.
Unused prescriptions may be deposited in the drop box provided inside the NT Police station lobby during regular office hours from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
DUMPSTERS: Available Monday- Friday from 8 am until 4 pm at 1915 Old Trail Road for residents of the Township. The fee to use the dumpsters is $30.00 per pickup truckload. Items not accepted in the dumpsters are tires, propane tanks, liquids/flammables, regular trash (trash bags/boxes), glass, auto parts, wood, tree trimmings or grass clippings, building debris example: shingles/drywall/insulation, and Covered devices ex: computers, televisions, etc. Newberry Township reserves the right to limit the quantity and to reject items and persons.
Available Recycling Containers: There are two sizes of recycling bins. The smaller 24-gallon size is $3.00, and the larger 32-gallon size is $4.00. They may be purchased at the Township office Monday through Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm.

The following holidays are observed by the hauler: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Should your pick-up day fall on, or after a holiday, then your pick-up will be a day later in that week. If the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, garbage will be picked up on your normal day.
