Due to insurance and security reasons, cash payments for taxes are now limited
to $100.00 per person. Payments can be made in the form of money orders,
certified bank checks or personal checks (except in December.) Sorry for the
inconvenience this may cause; but, safety and liability are a priority.
IMPORTANT CHANGES REGARDING YOUR
2018 COUNTY/TOWNSHIP REAL ESTATE TAX BILL:
● Beginning on January 1, 2018, York County will be mailing (via a
contracted mail service), your 2018 County/Township Real Estate Tax Bills.
These are the “Spring Bills” that are mailed by February 15th of each year.
With the county taking this course of action, (against the Tax Collectors
wishes), this limits me (Deb) as to what changes and updates, if any, the County
has made to the Real Estate bills.
● Since the York County Assessment Office closed their books on November
22, 2017, any changes, transfers or updates occurring after this date WILL
NOT be reflected on the 2018 tax bills. These are changes I normally would have
made before mailing out the bills. The next updated report from York County
Assessment will not be available until February 23, 2018.
● It was also decided by the County to print the bills on regular sheets of
paper without perforations for stamped receipts.
● What this means to you, the taxpayer, is that if you DO NOT get your tax bill
or have ANY ISSUE with regard to your bill, including this new process,
please CONTACT YORK COUNTY directly using the
names and numbers below:
|York County Administrator/Chief Clerk: Mark Derr
|York County Treasurer: Barbara Bair
|York County Commissioners:
||Susan Byrnes, President
Doug Hoke, Vice President
Chris Reilly, Commissioner
|York County Director of
Assessment: Rachael White
Automated System: 1-800-441-2025
NOTE: The Payment Process has not
changed. ALL Tax
Payments are still made payable to:

I apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this may cause; but, it
was NOT my choice as Tax Collector. York County did this without authorization of
